Tap “Scan letter” and hold your iPhone over the letter – the camera crops the page automatically, also several pages in a row. Or use “Choose from Photos”. Good light and a flat letter give the best results.
In the language you choose under Settings → “Explain in”, whatever language the letter is written in. Reply drafts are written in the language of the letter so the recipient understands them.
Detailed explanations are created by Apple Intelligence. If it is not available or turned off on your iPhone, Lettamu uses simple recognition for deadline, amount and tasks. Settings shows whether Apple Intelligence is active. It needs a supported iPhone and must be enabled in iOS Settings.
Tap “Change” or “Add” on the deadline card and set the correct date. For phrases like “within 14 days” Lettamu counts from the letter’s date – please check in the original when the period starts.
Tap “Remind me” on the deadline card and allow notifications. Lettamu reminds you three days before the deadline at 9 am. “Add to Calendar” also creates an event.
